  1. I totally get why you’re on the fence about the upgrade—30% performance for that price bump is solid but not game-changing. I do like how you broke down the pros and cons, especially the voltage curve quirks and DLSS4’s impact—it really feels like a card for the enthusiasts who can fine-tune it. Still, finding one at 2.2k sounds insane, makes me wonder if I should’ve waited!

    1. Absolutely, waiting could make sense depending on your needs! Prices do fluctuate, and you might find better deals down the line. That said, if you prioritize top-tier performance for enthusiast-level workloads or games, it might still be worth considering now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts—it’s always great to hear other perspectives!

  2. I feel like you really nailed down all the nuances of the 5090, especially the unpredictable voltage curves—it sounds like a headache but also kind of fascinating from a tech geek perspective. And yeah, the performance gains are nice, but man, that price point still gives me pause even with all those UK deals floating around.

  3. I totally get why you’re on the fence about the upgrade—30% performance gain doesn’t feel like a game-changer when the price jump is so steep. Still, that ability to run native 4K ray tracing smoothly sounds awesome, especially with DLSS4 making such a big difference. It’s wild how much the power delivery and voltage stuff has changed; seems like a lot more hassle than the 4090. And yeah, finding an original pricing card in the UK right now does make it feel like a better deal compared to other places!

    1. Absolutely agree! The 30% performance uplift isn’t jaw-dropping enough to justify the cost for everyone, but running native 4K ray tracing smoothly is definitely enticing. The power delivery improvements are noticeable, though admittedly more complex than previous generations. Thanks for sharing your thoughts—it’s always interesting to hear different perspectives on the value proposition!

  4. Yeah, I feel you on that price hike. The performance boost over the 4090 isn’t bad, but not worth the extra $1k for most people. Still, getting an original price card in the UK sounds pretty sweet – I’d probably grab one too at £2.2k. Just hope the weird voltage stuff doesn’t cause long-term issues.
