Why the disappointment? Because there’s no 3D Mario.
Yet why the excitement? Because I’ve discovered delicious alternatives~

After devouring previews, hands-on reports, and gameplay footage, my initial disappointment has transformed into eager anticipation! Here’s what’s been brewing in my mind:

Revelation #1:
The biggest complaint? The lineup – no Zelda, no Mario.
But hold up! Don’t forget Metroid is part of Nintendo’s holy trinity. Could it fill Zelda’s shoes? Honestly, fellow gamers convinced me – I’m diving into MP4 and Dread two months before launch to find out!
No Mario? Meet Donkey Kong – the perfect substitute with similar sandbox exploration, swapping stars for bananas, trading creativity for pure adrenaline.

Consider the “Mario slot” filled.
And when 3D Mario makes its grand return? Pure fireworks. Meanwhile, I’ve treated myself to the 3D Mario collection – time for Galaxy to blow my mind all over again.
Mario Kart World might not be my usual cup of tea, but I’ll bet my controller it’ll be the most polished launch title – definitely worth a spin.

Revelation #2:
Let’s remember – the Switch’s 2017 debut wasn’t stellar either. It took a year to find its footing, 3-4 to go mainstream, and 8 to achieve legendary status. Talk about a slow burn with explosive results!
Launch day is just the opening act – steady growth builds healthier ecosystems.
Plus, Switch’s stellar reputation combined with NS2’s power boost means third-party developers are flooding in from day one.
For me, Nintendo consoles mean first-party magic – everything else is glorious bonus content. Jackpot!
This showcase unexpectedly expanded my gaming horizons, introducing me to the wonders of Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Mario Kart – franchises I’d previously overlooked.
We’re living in gaming’s golden age:
Timeless classics reborn with fresh polish
Legacy IPs staying vibrant and relevant
Indie scene bursting with creativity
Platforms competing to perfect genres
Countless artistic visions dazzling our screens
Here’s to NS2 making Switch greater than ever!
I totally get that disappointment about missing out on Mario and Zelda, but you’re right—Metroid deserves more love! It’s exciting to see how people are finding new ways to enjoy these games, especially with all the upcoming updates. I’m curious to see how they’ll build on this momentum. This review really shifted my perspective!
