Seven years and still going strong – my first-generation Bluetooth speaker continues to outperform every portable speaker I’ve tested, delivering crystal-clear, room-filling audio. Its ingenious hanging design creates a perfect 360-degree soundstage wherever I choose to suspend it.

Recently, I decided to give this trusty companion a new lease on life by replacing its aging battery. As I held its battle-scarred black shell in my hands, my eyes wandered to the untouched assortment of sandpapers in my DIY kit. That’s when inspiration struck!

What I thought would be a quick project turned into a week-long labor of love. The speaker’s anodized coating put up an incredible fight – the toughest I’ve encountered since my iPhone 5 restoration days. While the initial brushed metal finish already looked impressive, my perfectionist side couldn’t resist taking it further.

Gradually working through finer grits, I finally buffed the entire surface with a silver polishing cloth. The transformation? Absolutely stunning! My makeshift polishing technique yielded results that exceeded all expectations.

And just like that, I’d created something truly unique – the world’s only mirror-finish Beoplay A1, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece reborn through patience and passion.
